Specialising in corsets made from unconventional materials like denim, her figure-hugging designs showcase an array of leggings, miniskirts, and dresses adorned with strategic cut-outs. The collection, aptly named ‘Vanity’, elegantly explores beauty rituals and the intimate theatre of preparing to face the world. It pays homage to the early-2000s lingerie culture, tapping into the blend of softness and tension surrounding girlhood as it gracefully transitions into the complexities of growing sexuality.

In the moments before stepping out, where time bends, music envelops, and the mirror reflects your most genuine self, the collection embodies a dance of playfulness, uncertainty, confidence, and vulnerability. It encapsulates a teenage vision of what it means to be grown, desirable, and powerful, revisited through the lens of adulthood.

This collection marks a personal evolution for Clara Colette Miramon, venturing into new colours while embracing a lighter, more playful side. Here, softness, humour, and seduction coexist beautifully. The designs delve into the language of underwear, sleepwear, and outgoing dresses, along with the rituals of dressing and undressing.

Skirts seem to languidly slip down, revealing layers beneath, while slip skirts become statements of intentional visibility. Dresses and bodysuits are ingeniously crafted with elastic waistbands, intertwining familiarity with the structural integrity of fashion.

Prints echo the delicate floral motifs of lingerie, interspersed with female silhouettes that interrupt innocence, recalling youthful notions of femininity and desire. One print captures wallpaper peeled away, exposing a bare canvas underneath, the remnants of dirt and wear reflecting a striking contrast between youthful decoration and the realities of decay.

Intriguingly, lace plays a pivotal role throughout the collection. It graces bomber jackets as delicate trims, evokes the allure of lingerie worn openly, and beautifully reveals or conceals through clever cut-outs. Laser-cut satin reinterprets lace, creating a soft yet graphic quality that speaks to control and elegance.

At its essence, this collection illustrates a pivotal moment that the magic clothing can impart. It’s about standing in front of the mirror, performing one’s femininity and sexuality for oneself, donning various identities, and just as freely, taking them off.

This narrative transcends superficiality, conveying the power in beauty rituals, the bravery of confronting insecurities, and the grace in choosing adornment amidst vulnerability. It is a testament to the quiet strength found in self-staging and the intimate journey of becoming.
