To bring this exclusive capsule to life, Coach delved into the creative world of Lil Nas X, drawing inspiration from his individualistic style and vibrant use of colour. Stuart Vevers, the Creative Director of Coach, worked closely with the artist to select and customize an array of standout pieces. The result is a captivating ensemble, boasting shearling coats in striking pop hues, graphic elements reminiscent of concert merchandise, and a distinctive American varsity jacket adorned with personalized patches symbolizing key facets of Lil Nas X’s life, including his beloved pet cats and his zodiac sign, Aries.
Part of the Winter 2023 collection, this captivating line pays homage to quintessential American archetypes such as leather biker and shearling jackets, cleverly juxtaposed with tees, sweatshirts, and bags infused with vibrant acid graphics and electric colours reminiscent of rave culture. Additionally, the collection reimagines an archival Bonnie Cashin leopard print, channelling a classic motif into a contemporary context.
Commenting on the collaboration, Stuart Vevers shared, “Our Winter collection is inspired by my belief that fashion is about exploring and celebrating all of who you are. To create the collection, we twisted the Coach archives and were also inspired by Lil Nas X’s connection to music and nightlife.
