Danny Reinke – F/W 25-26 – 90 Seconds to Midnight

Danny Reinke has unveiled his new Prêt-à-Couture collection for Fall/Winter 2025/26 during Berlin Fashion Week, presenting a work that is fashionable and socially impactful. Titled “90 Seconds to Midnight,” the collection merges the dark narratives of Heinrich Hoffmann’s Struwwelpeter with the scientific metaphor of the Doomsday Clock, a symbol of the likelihood of a human-caused global catastrophe. The clock stands at just 90 seconds to midnight, serving as a wake-up call that advocates for resilience, resistance, and determination—key attributes that Hoffman attributes to his protagonists—to help us avert an apocalypse.

The collection reinterprets the rebellious aspects of Struwwelpeter, making a powerful statement for renewal, freedom, and efficacy. With its unique blend of elegant couture aesthetics and striking punk elements from the 1980s, it embodies the spirit of rebellion: unadapted, fearless, and full of energy. “90 Seconds to Midnight” is an impressive fusion of historical influence, dark symbolism, and rebellious design. It draws inspiration from the Biedermeier period while consciously breaking away from its conservative and understated characteristics to formulate a modern call for self-liberation and change.
