Deepfake Lookbook by FINCH: first in the world to allow AR fitting of collections

Ukrainian designer brand FINCH presents a lookbook of the world’s first immersive fashion collection, which you can try on yourself using Instagram from anywhere in the world. The collection is made for free AR usage and modern art promotion.

The lookbook includes 12 total looks that the FINCH team created based on the works of 12 contemporary artists from Ukraine, Switzerland and Japan, aged from 28 to 74. The technological component is made by FFFACE.ME, the biggest AR product development studio for Instagram, TikTok and Snapchat in eastern Europe.

The #finchARTshow project combines modern technologies, fashion and art and aims to bring high fashion closer to everyone, making a casual person a participant in the creative process, a co-author. And it opens up modern Ukrainian art and fashion to millions of social media users.

How to try on clothes from the collection?

Make sure your Instagram is up to date before starting.

1. Open a photo of the desired image with a QR code on a third-party device (this can be your computer or tablet).

2. Scan this QR code with your smartphone. It will activate the augmented reality filter on your Instagram. In the selfie camera mode, you will see a preview of the catwalk with your face inside.

3. Remove hair from the face and adjust skin tone and using the vertical slider for a more realistic image.

4. Press the capture button and take stories.

5. To get featured, tag @finch_wear, AR team @ffface.me and the artist you see in the filter name: @mariannehollenstein, @ralkovlada, @ka.bu_, @dariiakuzmych, @nikita_vlasov_art, @mityafenechkin, @nanabiako, @juraden, @takahiko.ishii.jpn, @julia.beliaeva.art or @polinaboichuk_.

Vlada Ralko, Katya Buchatska, Iuri Denysenkov, Julia Beliaeva, Nikita Vlasov, Mitya Fenechkin (all – Ukraine), Nana Biakova (Japan – Ukraine), Dariia Kuzmych (Germany – Ukraine), Marianne Hollenstein (Switzerland), Takahiko Ishii (Japan). The 12th artist, Polina Boychuk, was chosen by voting on Instagram from over 120 Ukrainian contestants who applied to participate in the artist competition.

AR in FINCH collections
Augmented reality filters that allow you to try on the #finchARTshow collection were first presented in September at Ukrainian Fashion Week and still available online among the filters in the FINCH Instagram account @finch_wea forever. Therefore, this is already the second FINCH collection, which is presented in the form of an endless show on Instagram: for the first time, the brand presented its real collection, which was scanned on models in 3D and placed in filters, in February 2020. Augmented reality technologies for both collections were developed by the FFFACE.ME studio.

FINCH is the first Ukrainian brand that works with augmented reality not only for presentation, but also for creating clothes (they recently revealed their second drop of basic clothing with the augmented reality effects in collaboration FFFACE.ME).
