In this inanimate reality, control lies in algorithms and curated feeds. Every trend feels like a premeditated shift, crafted not for art, but for profit. The void grows, not just in fabric, but in meaning. Negligence hides behind minimalism, and silence becomes style. Being a creative isn’t just about making work. It’s about learning how to live.
“I’m Stéven Bizien, a French hairdresser and hairstylist based in Berlin. Deeply inspired by art, subcultures, and cinema, I’ve spent the past few years shaping my visual, creative, and artistic identity. I value mutual support, collaboration, and a strong sense of community. Through my work, I aim to distance myself from the growing individualism that divides us more and more.
My influences and inspirations come from diverse, yet not so distant horizons — both fictional and dystopian. They solemnly and strikingly reflect the harsh and sorrowful reality of a civilisation evolving too fast, where the notions of solidarity, community, and human connection are fading into mere shadows of a lost hope, overtaken by capitalist, overproductive, and individualistic systems.
Through my work, and that of my team, I seek to express my deeply personal vision of the trajectory of dehumanisation within the fashion industry.”
