Sonia Teruel is a photographer from Spain based in Berlin. These series were made during the Quarantine period and show intense moods of solitude, introspection, contemplation, and discovery. Teruel’s work has focused a lot on capturing people and her surroundings in order to communicate feelings and atmospheres.
“These photographs are the result of deep work in color as a way of expressing the contemplative moods and intense feelings of isolation and solitude during the lockdown period. The images show some of the places and the small details of the city that I discovered during the many walks I took in that time, the few people I saw, and one of the many self-portraits I took. A phantasy feeling of the new unexpected situation and the personal consequences of it.”
