Berlin Fashion Week is not just for industry insiders; there are plenty of events that everyone can enjoy without an invitation. Here are some highlights powered by the Fashion Council Germany. Founded in January 2015 in Berlin by national industry experts, the Fashion Council Germany (FCG) serves as the voice for fashion “designed in Germany.” Through its various initiatives, FCG aims to further establish, support, and strengthen German fashion design as both a cultural and economic asset on national and international stages. A special emphasis is placed on nurturing the next generation of design talent. In addition to specialised educational programs focusing on sustainability, fashion technology, and community building, numerous events foster dialogue and networking opportunities for industry veterans and newcomers alike. Against this backdrop, the Fashion Council Germany forms a robust lobby, continuously advocating for greater visibility, global relevance, and interdisciplinary collaborations within the German fashion landscape.
The Fashion Council Germany is the only national representative of its kind, boasting strong international partnerships across political, social, and economic spheres. We champion the interests of our members by representing them and the industry at large on regional, national, and European levels. Our members actively leverage the Fashion Council Germany network to grow and share experiences.
