Fly High, the joint vision of Danilo Garrido and Catalina Uribarri reinterprets fashion photography as an act of ecological and aesthetic reflection. After years of capturing the naked body, this creative duo now focuses on dressing it and finding in AKA the perfect partner. The brand prints images of Chilean landscapes on its garments: from landfills to lichens, turning each piece into a textile micro-universe.
In their compositions of flat and intense colours, the duo intertwines the beautiful with the mundane. Flies, far from being intruders, become protagonists. These insects, omnipresent in landfills,
pose as living ornaments on carefully styled models.
This convergence of opposites – the clean and the seemingly dirty, the new and the discarded – seeks not to provoke, but to expand our perception. Fly High and AKA propose a fashion that not only dresses but tells stories of natural cycles and renewal.
They offer a fashion that goes beyond clothing, sharing tales of natural cycles and regeneration. By merging opposites, Fly High and AKA encourage us to rethink our relationship with nature and fashion.”
