Here and Now by Mathieu Frossard at Axel Arigato for Paris Design Week

On the occasion of Paris Design Week, AXEL ARIGATO and Mathieu Frossard are coming together with “HERE AND NOW.” Displayed at the AXEL ARIGATO store at 86 Rue Vieille du Temple, in the heart of Le Marais, the collection of ceramic pieces challenges the viewer’s perception of modernity, art and culture.

I want to create spaces that are inviting and open, the same feeling you get when you walk into a gallery. I also wanted to allow flexibility for upcoming projects and collaborations. Axel Arigato is a young brand that is constantly evolving. For us it only makes sense to create spaces that can evolve as well

– Max Svardh, Co-founder & Creative Director

“Here and now” is a selection of ceramic pieces that blur boundaries and question any sort of hierarchy that might exist between them. Represented by BOON_ROOM, the work of Mathieu Frossard stands somewhere between art, design and craft.

WHEN? till 18th of September

WHERE? 86 Rue Vieille du Temple, 75003 Paris

It questions diverse aspects of contemporary creation like “good taste”, beauty, or function. His work is like a collage of aesthetic references, shapes and materials, offering multiple paths for the viewer to apprehend it. By using popular references easily identifiable by the many, Mathieu gives to the viewers visual references they can grasp and interpret as their own.

Pushing them to confront their imaginative faculties and being creative as they experience what they see. AXEL ARIGATO is a contemporary fashion brand injected with counter-cultural references. The brand has always been about showcasing the imagery the brand began with and channeling it through visual language with references that include music, art, design and architecture. AXEL ARIGATO brings people together, through the power of positivity, community and memorable experiences.
