Tania Bohuslavska was born in 1990 in Kiev, Ukraine. She is a self tought photographer with a degree in psychology. In her art work, she prefers photography and video. Photography for her is a way of expression and a research tool. She has bipolar disorder and by creative work and photography she can express her feelings and states, and questions that interest her, such as fear, sexuality, identity, loneliness, imagination.. Photography allows her to expand the boundaries and explore the inner space using visual metaphors or forms.
For her photo series “Hers”she filmed herself for half year. With this work she had the possibility to go through a difficult condition and to distance herself from bipolar disorder. She used one mirror in the hallway, beyond which she often was afraid to go out, my disorder, camera and everything else.
