The model occupies the centre of the scene, yet her relationship with the photo assistant introduces an unexpected tension: a romance that shifts the focus and subverts the traditional hierarchy between protagonist and crew.”
“Far from erasing traces of production, the project integrates them as active elements of the composition. cables, flashes, backdrops, and position marks do not appear as mistakes to be corrected but as visual evidence of the photographic artifice, reminding the viewer that every image is a negotiation between desire, technique, and gaze.
This approach aligns with the body of work I have been developing in Berlin over the past years: an exploration of the threshold between backstage and stage, between the prepared and the accidental. Rather than pursuing a closed illusion of perfection, the series reveals photography as an open space of encounter, where bodies, devices, and emotions coexist.
More than a conventional fashion shoot, the work functions as an expanded portrait of the photographic medium itself: a territory where intimacy, desire, and technique interlace, exposing not only the final image but also the intricate network of relations that make it possible.”
