In a dazzling evening that seamlessly intertwined the worlds of fashion, sound, and performance art, the Berlin-based collective DRIPS unveiled its first multidisciplinary artistic event titled Liquid States. The night flowed through three distinct acts: Fashion, Body, and Sound, each designed to immerse the audience in a sensory journey. The runway sizzled with presentations from avant-garde designer brands like UNSATURATED, EXIL 01, and SONNENKIND, showcasing garments that challenged conventional aesthetics. But the show did not end with fashion— a captivating dance performance by TEAM RECYCLED.
As the beat shifted, DPM Javi took to the decks, spinning a vinyl set that bridged the fashion visuals with the pulsating energy of the final act. This culminated in live electronic performances by MAURER, VOICEX, and XIORRO, whose sounds were accompanied by immersive visuals crafted by MITSI and FVTHOM. This eclectic lineup of young, Berlin-based creatives, from various backgrounds, spoke to the collective spirit that defines the city’s art scene.
Founded by MAURER, VOICEX, and Barbara Cea, DRIPS serves as both a curatorial events collective and a burgeoning music label. Their recently released LP Convergence showcases a diverse array of artists and marks the beginning of a broader venture. Anticipation builds as DRIPS prepares to extend its vibrant energy to upcoming events in Hamburg, Madrid, Bilbao, and beyond.
“Born in Berlin, DRIPS is a meeting point of disciplines,” they declare, challenging audiences to rethink their perceptions of art and music. “We create audiovisual works, events, and urban interventions that explore the sensory and the conceptual through a liquid, raw, and contemporary aesthetic.”
