Kantgaragen Comes Alive: INTERVENTION 3 by Reference Studios Unveils Berlin’s Cutting-Edge Fashion

Kantgaragen, Berlin, Deutschland, 2025. Till Milius

Reference Studios eagerly announces the much-anticipated third edition of INTERVENTION—an innovative platform curated by the Berlin, Milan, and Paris-based communications agency led by visionary Founder and CEO Mumi Haiati. Following an exceptional second edition in July 2024, this groundbreaking showcase returns to Berlin, revealing a fresh lineup of national and international designers, brands, and institutions.

This year’s event shifts from the former Neukölln department store, now known as CANK, and the avant-garde Tempodrom in Kreuzberg, to the historic Kantgaragen—a stunning former car park constructed in 1929 on Kantstraße, a cultural nucleus of West Berlin. The location is poised to host a striking array of runway and experiential brand showcases.

A stellar roster awaits, featuring the return of trailblazers such as Benjamin Huseby and Serhat Işik’s GmbH, along with Marie Lueder’s eponymous label, LUEDER. They’ll be joined by the innovative German designer Andrej Gronau and sustainable fashion advocate Kasia Kucharska, both making their debut at Berlin Fashion Week. GmbH, LUEDER, and Gronau are recipients of this season’s Berlin Contemporary Prize, presented by The Senate Department for Economics, Energy and Public Enterprises / Projekt Zukunft. Kucharska has also secured the prestigious FCG/Vogue Fashion Fund 2024 accolade, established by Vogue Germany and the Fashion Council Germany.

The third edition of INTERVENTION, covering four expansive floors of the iconic Kantgaragen, promises a full day of fashion, music, performances, and sensory experiences—all within this architectural marvel.

The ground floor features Levi’s®, embodying classic Americana, which will host a concert headlined by a globally renowned contemporary jazz musician alongside an interactive product customisation lounge. Titled ‘Indigo Note’, this immersive event draws inspiration from the spontaneous and soulful ‘Blue Note’ soundscapes that pay homage to the dye that defines denim culture.

On the fifth floor, global lifestyle brand UGG® unveils a unique installation celebrating community connections. Constructed from the brand’s iconic twin-face material, this bespoke space will serve as a lively gathering point, showcasing exclusive performances and engaging workshops between runway shows.

The excitement continues with four much-awaited fashion shows across the remaining floors, further enhancing the Kantgaragen takeover—an emblematic example of Bauhaus architecture that defined modernity in West Berlin as one of the world’s first multi-story car parks.

Reference Studios remains committed to revolutionising spaces for a new creative era that converges fashion, art, and design. Outside the main venue, the pioneering olfactory platform Reference Times—launched in October at Dover Street Parfums Market in Paris—will present a special installation at the agency’s P100 exhibition space in Schöneberg, opening on January 31st and remaining on view throughout Berlin Fashion Week.

Commissioned by the Senate Department for Economics, Energy and Public Enterprises, INTERVENTION is a key feature of the official Berlin Fashion Week calendar. Founded in 2017 by Mumi Haiati, Reference Studios is a holistic communications agency dedicated to nurturing a contemporary space enriched by creativity and a global network. Their ethos emphasizes that everything a brand does—from product to advertising to events—serves as a form of media, amplifying its resonance in both physical and digital realms.

In this multi-dimensional landscape, Reference expertly melds strategic press relations, brand and community building, retail marketing, events, and social media to galvanize energy and momentum around its clients, setting new standards for what’s possible in the fashion ecosystem.
