Amid the hustle and spectacle that is Berlin Fashion Week, Kilian Kerner set the stage on fire (figuratively, of course!) with the presentation of his Autumn/Winter 2024 collection entitled “Get out of my Bed.” Unveiling his work during the W.E4. Fashion Day at the Verti Music Hall, Kerner showcased a whopping 51 looks, ranging from relaxed street styles to glamorous evening wear.
Opening the show with the unabashed declaration “Call me an idiot, but I want a world full of glitter,” Kerner resonated with our very own sentiments. Indeed, we would sign onto that vision without a moment’s hesitation. This was one of our favourite shows of the season.

The title “Get out of my Bed” isn’t just a catchphrase; it’s a call to cast aside societal hate and to meet each other on a human level, all while promoting equal footing among individuals. A concept film kicked off the event, in which Kerner drew attention to the globally tense situation, easing into a calming glitter animation that accompanied the entire defile.
At times like these, where the world is overwhelmingly demanding and exhausting, Kerner’s desire for more tranquillity and composure in our interactions was palpable. His show seamlessly wove this need for deceleration into the very fabric of its presentation, pairing serene music with dominant, self-assured looks adorned with expressive details.
The collection’s confident posture was embedded into every design that graced the runway. The fusion of extraordinary fabrics and colour combinations fortified classic cuts. Intentional disruptions to fine details created a sophisticated look – all while integrating Kilian Kerner’s signature elements such as a twisted collar or a ruched waistband paired with mini skirts and glitter designs. The playful addition of volume to the sleeves and the reinterpreted trousers carved out glamorous silhouettes.
When it came to materials, a special mix emerged with denim and vegan leather meeting chiffon, sequins, and crystals – a unique blend Kilian Kerner is renowned for. Glitter proved to be a dominating force within the collection, embodying Kerner’s vision for an indiscriminate world – one that is unconcerned with where you come from, your gender, who you love, or the personal stories you bear.
“We must all achieve a level of self-confidence that allows us to live together in society without prejudice,” said Kilian Kerner. “If everyone is the boss of their own life, we can meet as individuals and unite in a decelerated world where we embrace each other instead of being driven by hate. This sentiment and desire are reflected in my collection with looks that are as self-assured as they are introspective.”
