With his collection “Claudette & Rico – A love between moon and asphalt” Kilian Kerner staged an extraordinary love story on the catwalk – and crowned the finale with a creative call for peace. For the presentation of his new collection, the Berlin designer ventured into completely new territory and for the first time wrote his own screenplay for a modern fairy tale story, which he made reality in 24 women’s looks and 18 men’s looks.
The screenplay was set to music by Jella Haase and the young actor Lasse Klene as a radio play version and presented to the audience as the opening of the show. The new KILIAN KERNER collection is a symbol of self-confident femininity.
“I wanted my looks to express that femininity is a state of mind and cannot be limited to common definitions,” says the designer.
The creative breaking of clichés was the theme of all looks on the catwalk and creatively reflected the multidimensionality of our complex world. For Kerner, femininity is a boundless playing field on which he experiments with fashion as an important form of expression, free from role models and norms. The facets of femininity were sensually enhanced in cooperation with the underwear label MEY.
