Removing the concept of gender in his work, Kiska Lab’s designer Ruslan Leon creates inclusive jewellery in gold and platinum vermeil topped up with natural gemstones.

Explaining the starting point for his collection, the designer says, “Kiska Lab pieces are designed at an intersection of traditional jewellery craftsmanship and fetish culture.”

In Désir, images and attributes of bondage and leather practices were rethought creating new hybrid forms: butt plug transforms into a sublime pendant, Shibari knot appears on a cuff bracelet, Prince Albert piercing becomes a statement earring. “I want my jewellery to be an everyday armour, a source of empowerment worn regardless of age and gender,” Leon concludes.

The French brand founded in 2021 is committed to ethical production. Kiska Lab works with independent artisans and workshops based in Paris and Portugal. All pieces are handmade using recycled silver and responsibly sourced gemstones that were hand-cut especially for the collection.
