During Berlin Fashion Week, the KORDANI fashion show unveiled a collection that explores the duality of existence through the lens of everyday life. Photographer Shin Jeong Hoon attended the event, capturing the essence of the showcase.
Karbon Kordani’s designs reflect the tension between limitation and freedom, merging vulnerability with strength to create impactful works of art. The collection reveals the hidden, daring aspects of individuals often overlooked in their routine lives, emphasizing the contrast between the ordinary and the extraordinary. This fashion show serves as a reminder that acknowledging the mundane and the daring is integral to embracing an authentic life.

Karbon Kordani, a queer artist and visionary in the fashion realm, was born and raised in Iran. Having experienced a society that constrained her freedom of expression, particularly as a woman, she turned to art and fashion to liberate herself from the weight of years spent concealing her true identity.
Her move to Berlin marked a significant turning point, allowing her to embrace creative freedom and express her emotions through vibrant, unrestrained designs. Kordani’s work features a courageous fusion of contrasting elements—shadow and light—giving her creations a unique depth that distinguishes her within the fashion industry.
