For the editorial entitled ‘Krumelus’ – inspired by the fantasy panel from Pippi Longstocking, a magical means of growing up – he worked closely with Romina Schenone (styling) and Sven Ohlsen (hair & make-up). The series of images tells of the quiet rebellion to retain a piece of the childlike self. Full of play, dreams and quiet retreats. Through gentle compositions, surreal moments and emotional tenderness, she invites us on a journey into inner worlds where fantasy and vulnerability coexist on an equal footing.

Krumelus’ is a poetic journey about lightness, excessive demands and the depth of being.

Sebastian König is a photographer and lives in Nuremberg. His photographic work ranges between documentary, portrait and fashion – always focusing on authenticity, emotional depth and intimacy.

Through his many years as a hairdresser, he developed a keen sense of aesthetics, interpersonal subtleties and the effect of form and colour. This experience still characterises his sensitive view of people and their stories today. Sebastian is a member of the interdisciplinary collective Sparts and is currently studying photography at the Ostkreuzschule für Fotografie in Berlin. His work revolves around themes such as identity, memory and emotional resonance, which he makes tangible in his images through the subtle interplay of proximity and distance.
