London Trans+ Pride is set to return to central London on Saturday, 26th July 2025, making its mark in the seventh year of bold protest, visibility, and solidarity. This year’s theme, Existence & Resistance,’ underscores the vital importance of supporting our trans+ community now more than ever.

Joining the call for solidarity are prominent figures including Jessie Ware, Jeremy Corbyn, Munroe Bergdorf, Jameela Jamil, Clara Amfo, Suzy Eddie Izzard, Harris Dickinson, Will Young, and many more. Their powerful messages of support amplify the urgency of this event, where we stand together against the marginalisation of trans+ individuals in the UK.

Trans rights are human rights. I proudly stand with the trans community – with love and respect, always.”

London Trans+ Pride 2025 – A Must-Go Event!

In a challenging climate marked by punitive legislation and damaging media narratives, this march serves as an essential act of defiance as we demand justice, recognition, and an end to systemic oppression. In 2024, over 60,000 individuals participated in what became the largest Trans Pride event in history, reinforcing the movement’s commitment to activism, resilience, and joy.

The recent Supreme Court ruling further complicates the landscape, redefining “biological sex” and allowing the exclusion of trans women from single-sex services, intensifying an already hostile environment for our community. This decision, made without input from trans-led organisations, has sown discord and fear. As such, vocal allyship from cisgender individuals is critical. We urge allies to stand with the trans+ community, respond to this climate, and advocate for the dignity, equality, and justice we all deserve.

I stand in full solidarity with all trans people. The political hijacking of your lives and bodies is driven by a minority, and please know that you are supported, cared for, and loved.

A Political March With Urgent Demands

The 2025 march will call for a total ban on all forms of conversion therapy, a promise made by the UK government in 2018 that remains unfulfilled. Any proposed legislation that excludes trans people is not just inadequate; it is a breach of trust.

Access to trans healthcare is under siege: new NHS guidelines discourage GPs from supporting basic health monitoring for trans patients, and bans on puberty blockers threaten young lives. We demand fully funded gender-affirming care, reduced waiting times, and comprehensive support from GPs.

The theme ‘Existence & Resistance’ reflects the daily acts of protest that living with dignity and joy embodies. We march to remind our community that no one is alone—despite the cruelty of current government actions and vocal opposition, we are here, and we will rise.

With British trans people facing so much uncertainty on how our day to day lives will change following the Supreme Court ruling and subsequent EHRC guidance. It’s essential that as many of us as possible take to the streets in protest, to show our pride and that we will not be erased, shamed, segregated or forced back into the margins. Watching London Trans Pride grow year on year is both a reminder that trans people aren’t going anywhere, and that our allies see through the relentless, nonsensical, transphobic culture war targeting our community through British politics and much of the media.”

Community First, Always

This year, London Trans+ Pride emphasises that trans liberation is inextricably linked to the struggles for disability justice, racial justice, and economic justice. The plight of our community cannot be seen in isolation, especially with government figures revealing that over 50,000 children will be thrust into poverty.

We continue to call for legal reform. Currently, trans individuals face numerous hurdles, including the inability to legally marry without a Gender Recognition Certificate—a process that excludes many. Non-binary individuals face no legal recognition at all, even as progress is made in countries such as Germany, Ireland, and Denmark.

A Global Struggle, A Local Resistance

This march responds to a disturbing increase in global fascism, where TERF movements and right-wing populism threaten progress in LGBTQIA+ rights and disrupt working-class unity.

The organisers call on the media to take responsibility for their role in spreading misinformation and inciting hate, urging a respectful and accurate portrayal of trans+ lives.

Trans Pride Is Protest

As founding member Lewis G. Burton states, “We don’t want special treatment — we want to live in peace, to love freely, to build our futures without fear. That is not too much to ask.”

London Trans+ Pride is not merely a celebration; it is a powerful demand for justice, safety, and the right to exist.
