London-born, Bristol-based composer and producer Message To Bears, the musical persona of Jerome Alexander, is set to release his captivating new single ‘River Calls’ on June 20, 2025, through Lost Birds Records starting with the official video by Anna Chocholi. This track serves as the final lead-in to his upcoming album, Tired Eyes, Waking Hearts, coming July 18. Known for blending ambient, folk, post-rock, and electronic influences, Message To Bears has garnered significant acclaim, with over 200 million streams and performances alongside notable artists like Nils Frahm and Olafur Arnalds.
Speaking on the track, Message To Bears says, “Influenced by the primal pull of nature, building, swelling and finally offering release and quiet comfort in uncertain times.”
His music has received airplay from BBC Radio 6 hosts such as Guy Garvey and Tom Robinson, along with features in major publications like Vulture and Stereogum. Since his debut EP in 2007, he has released several celebrated albums, with compositions heard in films, television, and video games, notably in Life is Strange and Netflix titles like Virgin River.
