From bursting onto the UK house scene as a name tipped by Mixmag and others, to evolving into a globally-touring talent, London-based Maxinne is entering an exhilarating new chapter for 2024. Her ever-expanding, groove-driven sound has secured her a place on leading labels over the years, including HE.SHE.THEY., Knee Deep In Sound, Circus Recordings, Pokerflat, and Saved.
A beloved favourite on BBC Radio 1, she consistently garners support from industry heavyweights like Marco Carola, Hot Since 82, Paco Osuna, and Yousef, captivating audiences with her performances at iconic venues from Hï Ibiza to CRSSD Festival, Lost Beach Club to Studio 338. Her relentless pursuit of musical excellence sees her not only thriving in DJ booths worldwide but also stepping into a new role with the launch of her own label, Red Alert. This ambitious project aims to showcase a diverse array of artists, pushing the boundaries of house music. The highly anticipated next release on Maxinne’s imprint is set for 2nd August, featuring the talents of Jordano Roosevelt, and promises to set dance floors and playlists ablaze.
Having my own label is something I’ve dreamt of for years, to release music from like-minded artists that share a similar vision and to express myself with more freedom than ever before. This EP was heavily inspired by my early influences of garage music with its chunky basslines and skippy drums. It’s an accumulation of the sounds I’ve loved and listened to for many years, with touches of hip hop and soul coming through with the vocals.
