On the vibrant evening of September 1st, Mode Suisse once again illuminated the runway at Kunsthaus Zürich with its enchanting format, Mode Suisse & Friends 2025. A heartfelt thank you to the creative makers for inviting us to this splendid event, where 22 talented participants, including 13 exciting newcomers, showcased their latest collections, transforming the Pfistersaal into a cinematic fashion experience.

The runway pulsated with unique designs from standout names like studio remo, who rightfully earned the prestigious 2025 Miele x Mode Suisse AWARD FOR POSITIVE IMPACT, amorphose, DANZ, Ginny Litscher, and NINA YUUN, among others. Additionally, the powerful ADAPT by SPF initiative made its third appearance, showcasing pieces for wheelchair users integrated into multiple collections, an inspiring testament to inclusive design.

The dual runway shows provided a captivating rhythm, though we couldn’t help but feel that with a generous 1.5 hours dedicated to each, we yearned for more time to truly savour every exquisite moment and detail of these remarkable designs.

As the lights illuminated an array of colourful rugs and chromatic seating by SULA, paired with a stunning floral installation by Evoraflowers, the atmosphere was electric. The immersive live music experience featuring artists Gael Faure, Jono McCleery, and Bit-Tuner added a poetic touch to the evening, intertwining sound with the visual artistry on display.

Beyond the runway, the Kunsthaus foyer and adjacent Auditorium buzzed with energy, featuring an inspiring showcase presented in partnership with Miele that celebrated studio remo’s win for the AWARD FOR POSITIVE IMPACT. The showroom also included two exhibitions: an excerpt from the “Susanne Bartsch – Transformation!” collection and Rafael Kouto’s “Circular Heroes” project, underlining the event’s commitment to creativity and sustainability.

The first show opened with the innovative designs of the School Doing Fashion, BASEL, showcasing spectacular work from emerging talents, leading into a roster of newbies and seasoned designers that continually broke new ground in their expression. The night culminated in a celebration of studio remo’s commitment to sustainability, leaving us inspired by their journey toward ecological consciousness in fashion.

As the evening closed with the second show, featuring compelling creations from DANZ, amorphose, and others, we were left spellbound by the artistry and storytelling through fashion. Mode Suisse & Friends 2025 was more than an event; it was a collective awakening to the potential of fashion as a transformative force. Here’s to a remarkable night and an even brighter future for Swiss fashion!
