MONIQUE FEI’s S/S25 – A Dazzling Fusion at Paris Fashion Week

We simply can’t get enough of the latest collection from MONIQUE FEI—SS25 “MONIQUE FUEL,” showcased in all its glory at Paris Fashion Week. It was truly a show-stopper! With an avant-garde cast featuring the likes of Lily McMenamy, François Sagat, Tayce, and Gena Marvin, Monique Fei launched us into a world that was, quite frankly, electrifying, leaving the crowd erupting into applause.

In “Monique Fuel,” each piece is a narrative, a fantasy. Moving beyond just fashion, the collection interrogates materiality and performance, merging costume with artwork. Picture an avant-garde petrol station as the backdrop, inspired by Fei’s journey—it’s a visual and emotional feast.

The spotlight shone on wearable sculptures crafted in natural latex and textile art. These designs fearlessly tackle today’s pressing issues: body perfection, sexual identity, and the gaze of the male, while embracing the resilience and beauty of fetish and queer communities. Furthermore, the collection touches upon the eco-history of rubber and oil, highlighting the intersection of mechanism and artistry.

Designer Monique Fei blurs the lines between craft and couture, challenging conventions with each creation. A Central Saint Martins alumna, her work is steeped in history and storytelling, transforming traditional shapes into pieces that question their materiality. Influenced by empowering women in Shanghai and trained in latex by Lupae, Fei stitches together craft and modernity into powerful, unique works. Her dedication to sustainability shines through with the innovative use of wild rubber and unconventional materials, resulting in handcrafted masterpieces.

Our praise for this collection is boundless—”MONIQUE FUEL” is a testament to Monique Fei’s extraordinary vision and commitment to redefining fashion.
