MYL BERLIN Fall/Winter 2026/27 – Broken Enough?

This season, MYL BERLIN has boldly claimed its place on the international stage as the sole German fashion house included in the esteemed London Fashion Week lineup, presenting a captivating show that streamed live from the vibrant heart of Berlin directly to London. This strategic move is not just a breakthrough; it’s a provocative declaration aimed at decentralising traditional fashion capitals, all while maintaining a dynamic global presence.

Set against the eclectic backdrop of Neukölln, the show sprawled across more than 2,000 square meters, drawing in over 500 luminaries from the realms of fashion, art, music, and cultural communities. The casting was a testament to MYL BERLIN’s unwavering dedication to radical inclusivity, showcasing a medley of diverse bodies, identities, and lived experiences—an intrinsic foundation rather than a fleeting trend.

Broken Enough?” is an autobiographical journey through the chains we mistake for love, safety, and duty. Whether leaving a country shaped by war, walking away from abuse, or claiming a suppressed identity, this collection captures the instant the lock snaps. We transform the question “Am I good enough?” into a definitive “I am the blaze.”

The collection tells an autobiographical narrative, exploring themes of liberation from the bindings we often misconstrue as love, home, and safety, and reconstructing identity akin to architectural mastery, brick by brick. For some, this journey symbolises the departure from a war-torn homeland; for others, it reflects breaking free from abusive relationships, unearthing childhood traumas, or reclaiming identities long denied.

The venue was transformed into an emotional landscape by visionary artist Natalie von Matt, whose large-scale conceptual installation provided a poignant backdrop. This was further enhanced by a riveting live performance choreographed by Marie Zechiel, seamlessly merging the realms of fashion and contemporary performance art in an extraordinary display.

Designed by the talented duo Sebastian S. K. and Ayham Hussein, this season marks Hussein’s inaugural official designer credit—following years of shaping MYL BERLIN as Creative Director, co-designer, stylist, and show producer. With a heritage rooted in Syria and a creative ethos honed in Berlin, Hussein brings a nuanced cross-cultural sensitivity to each silhouette and narrative within the collection, enriching the fashion landscape with profound stories waiting to be told.
