Meet Ionut Razvan, a rising star in the fashion world. Recently graduated from the National University Of Arts Bucharest, Faculty of Fashion Design, Ionut brings a fresh perspective to the industry. Born and raised in Bucharest, Romania, this talented 27-year-old holds a Bachelor Degree in PR and Communication, and as of June, he has added one in Fashion Design to Ionut’s list of accomplishments.
Ionut’s creative drive stems from a unique blend of pop culture, feelings, and emotions. Fascinated by the darker aspects of life and the human mind, he fearlessly explores unconventional themes such as death in his work. His exploration of the Aesthetics of Ugliness, originally a hobby, has blossomed into a powerful source of inspiration for his creations. Ionut’s ultimate goal is to create fashion that resembles a cinematic masterpiece directed by an avant-garde artist, evoking mysterious and thought-provoking emotions within the viewer’s mind.
Through manipulation of textiles, Ionut expresses the designer´s innermost thoughts and emotions, granting glimpses into the anxieties and anguish that occasionally consume his life. During Ionut’s studies, the designer skillfully delved into both traditional and unconventional materials, crafting ready-to-wear pieces that blur the line between art and fashion.
Notably, Ionut’s B.A collection, titled “nobody finds me attractive,” pushes boundaries and challenges the societal norms surrounding female beauty. Acting as a powerful manifesto, it serves as a personal message to the reflection staring back from the mirror, challenging the accepted standards of attractiveness.
