Initially conceived as a response to client requests stemming from an editorial photo, the cuff epitomizes the harmonious fusion of form and function. “What started as an impromptu adornment with gemstones on a whim quickly gained traction when our clients expressed interest in purchasing what they believed to be an earring. It was then that I realized the undeniable appeal of the cuff, especially in the context of Valentine’s Day,” shared Omelia.

Kostiantyn Omelia is not only a distinguished designer but also a prominent figure within the LGBTQ+ community, renowned for his unwavering advocacy for acceptance and diversity in love. In a courageous and pivotal moment in June 2023, Omelia publicly shared his journey of empowerment within the LGBTQ+ spectrum and unveiled a collection dedicated to supporting LGBTQ+ individuals in Ukraine. However, this act of bravery was met with adversity, as Omelia was subjected to a targeted attack in Kyiv a month later, a grim manifestation of homophobic sentiments. Following the incident, Omelia declared, “Throughout my life, I have grappled with the feeling of alienation from society due to my affiliation with the LGBTQ+ community.” Despite the challenges he has encountered, Omelia continues to champion inclusivity and advocate for love in all its beautiful forms.
