A KALTBLUT exclusive editorial. Photography by Jean-Guillaume Bastin. We all have friends who exude an aura of mystery. Friends you imagine have a secret life they’re keeping from you. Jean-Guillaume Bastin met two such people his first week in Tokyo. Clad head-to-toe in black with flowing ink-black hair, they captivated him with their enigmatic charisma. Bastin had to photograph them. Being the generous people they are, they readily agreed. They reminded Bastin of the Jarmusch film Only Lovers Left Alive. The shoot took place on a cold windy night in Shibuya’s Miyashita Park surroundings.
