But, little by little, the scene turns into a disturbing psychological game. The policeman’s questions, harsh and precise, seem to touch intimate chords, revealing a vulnerability not expected of a lawman.”
“The criminal, who believes himself to be weak and lost, begins to recognize in himself traits of a strength he had never seen. And, in reflection, the policeman slowly realizes that even his apparent toughness hides a deep insecurity, a vulnerability he has tried to mask behind a facade of perfection.
The interrogation thus becomes a macabre dance of mirrors: both of them, unaware, play roles that are not their own, masks that merge into a single face. Strength and weakness, flawlessness and fragility, turn out to be the same thing.
In that room, there is neither justice nor guilt, but only two faces of the same person, trapped in the same inner struggle.”
