I was listening to a podcast by This American Life called “Sissy” and one of the stories, which the editorial is named after, brought to light an interesting fact. People are becoming more and more comfortable with the ‘idea’ of men being gay but seeing men as feminine or weak is still an issue for many people. It’s not so much to do with sexuality as it is to do with how people are used to perceiving gender. This editorial is a way to have this conversation and challenge gender roles through fashion.” – Mustafa Sarwar
