Rooted in the lived experience of entering the UK foster care system at 16 years old, People of the Land is a portrait story about identity as protection – how self-guarding can trap us in fight-or-flight and disconnect us from ourselves. Moving from shadowed landscapes to hard urban edges, the story traces a shift from defence to recognition, where shared stories turn armour into connection.

LaMont is a 26-year-old, North West London-raised, W1-based fashion model and music artist. Represented by Crumb Agency and the youngest/first Black winner of Pride’s Got Talent (2018). Care-experienced (entered the UK care system at 16) and living with ADHD, he turns lived experience into creative practice across visuals and sound.
Yuki Gaderer is a Berlin-based photographer, represented by W Artist Management. His fashion/editorial work includes published imagery for Lo’ammi Magazine and the DAMUR SS26 collection.
