Eleonora is a creative director and writer from Naples, south of Italy. Precociously introduced to expressing her feelings by her mother, from a very young age to her sweet nine years old, to the question “What do you want to be when you grow up?”, Eleonora always replied “A marine biologist”. She had a world to discover back then.
Then you know, life – she hit the ground with her face. So, to the same question, she started replying “I want to narrate to people what I have inside” – she had more than a world to discover.
Nowadays when people ask her “What do you do in life?”, she always replies “When I grow up I want to narrate to people what I have inside”. Which in the meantime has become louder.
“Polly is the product of great suffering, firstly written and then narrated through metaphors, sweetened with balloons and colourful eyeshadows. Born on the sixteenth floor of a compartment in Eleonora’s mind, the editorial tells of a primordial anguish that finds its dimension in lightness, the real one: nothingness. Polly is the first in a series of stories that, thanks to the synergy of the team, transitioned from pen to image. The model, Corrado, is an actor and was dressed by stylist Elisabetta, who skillfully intertwined emotions with clothing.
Thanks to photographer Fabrizio (and his assistant Daria), the bittersweet melancholy was translated into colours, moments, and chiaroscuro. We will tell you that the tears are real, but the enhanced disgust on the model’s face is the work of Veronica, who turned even a simple red lipstick into a declaration of intent.”
