Press Play: Coach Party – Micro Aggression

Rising Isle of Wight stars Coach Party released their brand new single ‘Micro Aggression’ this week on Chess Club Records. The band also unveiled the powerful music video for “Micro Aggression,” which was directed by Daniel Broadley (who previously directed the Coach Party videos for “FLAG” and “Weird Me Out”) and Martyna Bannister. “Micro Aggression” was played for the first time by Steve Lamacq on his BBC Radio 6 Music “Teatime Show” last night.

Coach Party have spent the past year refining their explosive live show, playing over 120 shows in total. Special live highlights included the 100,000-seat Stade de France supporting Indochine, a headline tour including the show in London, a performance supporting The Mysterines in spring and Wet Leg on their sold-out winter tour UK and Europe.

Coach Party frontwoman Jess Eastwood says of the new single: “This song goes out to those whose sense of humour largely involves micro-dosing others with hurtful and oppressive comments, followed by a “woah I was only joking” when they’re called out on it. Seriously, just learn some actual funny jokes. People like that.”
