Indie band Pinwheel Valley has just released their new single “Someway” on August 29 via Hot Soap Records. This follows their recent track “Werewolf,” which gained attention from METAL Magazine and Irish radio stations RTÉ 2FM and RTÉ 2XM. With over 2 million streams and features in CLASH, NOTION, Earmilk, and Billboard Argentina, they’ve established themselves as a band rich in emotional depth and sonic ambition. Their previous single, “Your Superman,” reached No. 13 on the US iTunes Alternative Chart, while award-winning videos for “Willow” and “Abduction” earned accolades at prestigious film festivals.
Led by Jordanian-Canadian musician Qais Khoury, Pinwheel Valley blends Indie Soul, mellow Alt-Rock, and Folktronica. What began as a solo project has evolved into a full band for live performances, showcasing a diverse sound inspired by artists like Jeff Buckley and Radiohead. “Someway” marks a shift towards gentle Indie Folk, featuring intimate acoustic elements and Qais’ emotive vocals.
Frontman Qais Khoury shared: “I wrote ‘Someway’ as a tender plea, woven with threads of hope and longing. It reflects the ache of separation (be it physical, emotional, or spiritual) and the deep yearning for reconnection. In an age defined by instant, hypermodern communication, I found myself gazing out to sea, inspired by a bygone era when messages in bottles carried words of love across vast, uncertain distances. The song captures that sense of remoteness, and the fragility of faith in a bond that may still endure. In this light, the refrain “know I’ll find it someway” becomes an unyielding anchor of hope.”
