Kyiv’s highly anticipated Laboratorium festival makes its return on September 6-7, promising two electrifying days filled with avant-garde electronic music, immersive art, and a vibrant community spirit. Renowned for its ability to transform unconventional spaces into dynamic cultural hubs, Laboratorium once again invites attendees to an exhilarating confluence of rave energy and contemporary artistry.
This autumn, the festival shines the spotlight on the emerging wave of Ukrainian electronic artists, providing them with a platform to challenge norms and showcase their distinctive sounds. Joining them will be an eclectic roster of international talents, including Dion Visser (NL), Ansbro (IE), and Luciid (IE), bridging the realms of Kyiv’s underground scene with global vibes.

The festival’s striking visual identity incorporates the ancient Slavic symbol Alatyr Star (Svarog’s Cross), a revered emblem found within traditional Ukrainian ornamentation. This symbol serves not only as a nod to history but also as a connection between the past and the present, interweaving traditional elements with modern rave culture.
In addition to pulsating beats, Laboratorium offers a rich artistic program, featuring a local design market, tattoo corners, large-scale light installations, and contemporary sculptures from Ukrainian artists, ensuring a feast for the senses beyond the dancefloor.
Over the years, Laboratorium has matured into one of Kyiv’s most unique cultural phenomena, drawing over 5,000 visitors in past editions. It has emerged as a focal point where Ukrainian identity intersects with the global rave movement.
“Laboratorium embodies inspiration and freedom,” express the festival’s organisers, Misha Spalakh and Katya Kama. “We aim to demonstrate that Ukrainian culture can resonate loudly and contemporarily while remaining true to its roots. It’s about amplifying artists’ visibility and fostering a sense of unity and strength within our community.” Staying true to its social mission, a portion of the festival’s proceeds will support the Ukrainian Armed Forces and various recovery initiatives throughout the country.
