Second Skin

A KALTBLUT exclusive. Photography and film by Anežka Horová. The model Veronika Kollárová signed at Pure Model Management. Hair & Make-Up by Kristýna Hošková. Video edit by Laura Prieložná. The idea comes from facing climate change. Having a second skin that protects us is more important and relevant than ever. The editorial is inspired by the idea of the future and finding a new planet for humans where they could relearn to live in symbiosis with nature. To mimic the idea of second skin the pieces designed by Jakub Polanka and Valérie Jurčíková were layered. Jewellery by Magdalena Šťastníková gave some looks a more futuristic aesthetic and vibe.

While working as a model his personal style caught the eye of a prominent fashion stylist who later offered him a job. Thanks to this opportunity he could learn everything he needed to start a styling career of his own. Focusing on promoting Czech fashion designers, design and art. Daniel focuses on promoting local designers and artists.

Kristýna Hošková

Kristýna is a passionate and creative make-up artist and marketing professional based in Prague. As a head of the make-up team at Prague Fashion Week, she has worked with various local as well as foreign designers over the years. She’s always been unafraid of challenging herself and pushing boundaries in make-up which she sees as a form of art and self-expression. „I find inspiration in everything that goes around me – be it a piece of music, a crack on the wall or extra/ordinary people. It can be pretty much anything. I tend to see beauty in things others don’t and it accelerates my creativity – and I like this sort of bowiesque approach a lot,“ she says.
