In a colourful clash of art, design, and personal exploration, “My Blawhere Vision” emerges as an avant-garde installation brought to life by designer Matteo Cibic in collaboration with BLAUER Footwear. This atmospheric experience invites visitors to journey into the future while embracing the present during Design Week.
Crafted specifically for multibrand footwear retailers, the installation embarks on a wandering tour throughout Italy, encouraging guests to take a moment of introspection. It’s a chance to contemplate ambitions, evaluate their current path, and visualise the steps leading to their next milestone.
Cibic, who embraces the unconventional with flair, reinterprets the concept of “where” (BlaWhere) as more than just a point in space; it’s a personal quest, teeming with possibilities. Central to this installation is Teddy, the beloved bear mascot of Blauer, reimagined as a beacon of futurism. Adorned with a striking new look, Teddy is now a guardian of dreams, capturing and safeguarding aspirations for the near future while invoking emotional resonance among those who engage with him.
This installation solidifies itself as a metaphor for growth and evolution, using the iconic shoelaces from Blauer Footwear as a symbolic thread weaving together individuals’ experiences. “BlaWhere” transcends the realms of a mere exhibit; it encourages us to embrace self-expression and the boundless power of imagination as we chart our futures.
Launched in November, the “My Blawhere Vision” tour has captivated audiences in several cities across Italy, recently making waves in Sanremo during the Festival. Artists interacted with the installation, jotting down their personal goals, thoughts, and aspirations on BLAUER shields, which they then tied to the shoelaces, creating a unifying tapestry that interlaces music with design. These shields, available at each stop, allow participants to leave personal messages, fostering a shared narrative that bonds dreams and ambitions into a collective vision.
The next destination? Milan, where the BLAUER store in Piazza XXV Aprile will host the installation on April 8th during Design Week. This special occasion, orchestrated by FGF Industry—the owner of the BLAUER brand—will feature an evening of cocktails and a DJ set as a backdrop for the BlaWhere experience. Attendees will have the unique opportunity to engage with the artwork, share their thoughts, and even meet the imaginative mind behind it all, Matteo Cibic. Step into tomorrow—your future awaits!
