A KALTBLUT exclusive fashion editorial. “I’m a young and upcoming fashion stylist from Barcelona who is now based in East London. I teamed up with the photographer Nicola Favaron, to create an editorial inspired by Japanese subcultures, in specific the known “Sukeban Gangs”. I am greatly inspired by subcultures and youth movements and this is why we wanted to create this editorial. The styling is an attempt to break the stereotypical Japanese styling by focusing on a more modern approach and by merging both eastern and western cultures. We wanted to show both sides of a strong yet delicate woman with the poses, lighting and the expressions. The make up and body tattoo’s are done in a delicate and simple way yet they symbolise the codes often used by gangs.” says Nicole Vernon.
