Make up by Cristine Dupuys. “A few months ago I came across this team of independent music producers, artists, rappers, models and filmmakers. I was fascinated by their unique identity and the new scene they are forging on the outskirts of London city. Thanks to all the different personalities on this shoot, we played around and brought out the best of everyone’s talents, creating a unique energy that is reflected in the photographs. Peter Xan and Groovy Mel of Sydney Wyatt identified well with the mix of labels I used on set. It was really cool to see how the clothing of BAND OF OUTSIDERS, an iconic menswear brand offering a collection for the international man that doesn’t take himself too seriously, mixed with that of LOHA VETE, a brandname derived from an anagram exploring the line between LOVE and HATE, where authenticity is deeply rooted in the purposefully anti-establishment mind-set. I found it exciting to mix the outfits with MARCELO BURLON items – a multi-culture blend of fashion, music, nightlife – then I used the hand made hats of LAIRD HATTERS for a final touch of class and elements of the natural world together with mystical symbols in the hand crafted jewellery of ROBERT WELLINGTON.” says Filomena Barberio about her editorial.
