Ten c Spring/Summer 2024: The Emperor’s New Clothes Unveils Their Latest Collection

#Lookbook – The time has come for Ten c’s SS24 collection, where the brand’s signature fabric, Original Japanese Jersey (OJJ), takes centre stage. This season, the fabric has been treated with a special powder-effect dye in light hues, bringing a fresh and unique twist to the collection.

But where did they find inspiration for this new treatment? It’s all thanks to the Arcari quarry in the Berici Hills of Vicenza where the video for their FW23-24 campaign was filmed. The natural limestone transforms into various shades of pink as the sunlight hits the walls, while the water reflections offer a range of blues. This quarry served as the inspiration for the other pattern proposed in the collection, a cement-like effect available in black and white on outerwear, pants, sweatshirts, and jerseys.

This season, Ten c also introduced new fabrics, including laminated RIP-Stop, an ultralight rubberized polyester/nylon mesh perfect for waterproof and high-resistance wear. The British Navy and Army inspired the military-inspired models, which comprise the classic Nylon Tactel and the OJJ 11 oz. for a total look. Additionally, they introduced a new ultralight, sanded nylon with cotton hand-on anoraks, overshirts, pants, and shirts.

As a visual representation of the brand’s signature fabric, Ten c included an external application that echoed the characteristic shape of the inner label and a tone-on-tone hot stamping using three-dimensional stamps in an OJJ pattern resembling sealing wax.

Of course, the iconic Garment-dyed OJJ 11 oz. and OJJ 11 9 oz. will continue to be featured in the collection in solid navy blue, which the brand touts as the new black, alongside the lighter, intermediate greys that characterise the collection’s palette. The Nylon Crinkle is also present this season in models with large pockets inspired by military backpacks, and their Resin Nylon is featured in the Tempest Combo Anorak, flanked by two new proposals.

Finally, the collection includes classic Ten c models in OJJ 11 oz., garment-dyed sweatshirts, as well as a Japanese model reminiscent of traditional American varsity sweatshirts.

Ten c forms part of the Veneto-based FGF INDUSTRY SPA group headed by Enzo Fusco. It features a limited, targeted collection of no-logo, luxury outerwear items made from the iconic patented fabric OJJ – Original Japanese Jersey.
