The Brothers by Youssef Sherif

Youssef Sherif is an Egyptian photographer, based in Cairo, Egypt. Sherif officially started photography last year and used photography to visualize his thoughts, feelings and his past experiences. This project represents how Sherif used to define brotherhood.

“The Brothers project talks about the relationship between my brothers and I. They are 9 and 10 years older than me and so, growing up, I always felt distant and was a bit jealous of the strong bond they shared, although no one was at fault. I was a kid, and they were in their teens; none of us had the emotional intelligence to realise that there was some shit going on.”
