Callum Walker Hutchinson is a photographer based in New York City. The images of his last project “The Last Flower On Earth” were shot before the global lockdown and track the life and death of the last flower on earth. Climate change and the depletion of our environment is an ongoing issue even during this pandemic. Our lack of presence in the outside world has allowed for major healing to happen and has really highlighted our role in the discourse of nature.
“I wanted to create these images to personify nature, and to allow us to more closely relate to, and value it’s life. The images are fun and a bit camp, so although the subject may be a bit heavy, it’s juxtaposed by the fact that they’re visually very fun to look at.”
