The mask behind the mask – Woolman Family by Arden

A KALTBLUT exclusive. The concept of the human mask of Woolman was born in 2005, the selfie overflowed our screens and the artists in their natural answer began to hide the faces. Fifteen years later, fashion has stolen the concept of the mask from art and has thrown it furiously onto all the catwalks of the world. Thanks to this popularization, the mask is now trendy, which is a triumph because at the beginning of the century, Woolman was incomprehensible to most and often treated as a degenerate. Brands are  Alvaro Mars, Luskey´s (Western Store), Sendra, Fabrizio Celleri, Gori de Palma, Miro Misljen, Rodrigo Falero & Agustín Power, María Dolores Lopez Til, Victor Von Schwarz, AFT-R Barcelona.

Arden, photographer, and Woolman Family, performance artists, join forces to weave a new concept where art serves as a support for fashion, thus generating the double art-fashion mask, the absurdity of the image elevated to artistic parody.
