“As the photographer, my focus in this project was to capture the depth of emotions and expressions that can be conveyed through hands, an often-overlooked detail. Using yellow backlighting and dramatic contrasts, the hands became the focal point, amplifying the intensity of each scene. This interplay of light and shadow helped highlight the physical and emotional connections we wanted to express.”
“The project was brought to life through a collaborative effort with an incredibly talented team. Our male model, a long-time friend of mine, brought a unique versatility that perfectly fit the artistic vision. Sophie, our female model, showcased exceptional professionalism and an ability to embody both the garments and the emotions we aimed to portray. Together with the designer and makeup artist, we created a harmonious atmosphere where creativity flowed, resulting in a visual story that is both powerful and evocative.
As a fashion designer, I created extravagant and powerful looks that emphasize the atmosphere. I primarily used materials such as knitwear—a fabric that is warm, familiar, and comfortable on the body—contrasted with plastic and synthetic fabrics that are cold and cling tightly to the skin, as seen in the dress look. The texture of each of these materials is so distinct, and working with them posed unique challenges, with processes that differed entirely from one another.”
