Track Premiere: Haus F – Lärm

With their first official single, “Lärm”, my new fave Berlin-based band Haus F finally fulfils a promise that their loyal fans have been eagerly waiting for. After teasing snippets in pedestrian zones and their rehearsal space on social media, this track now takes shape in a way that it truly deserves. “Lärm” unfolds on a still youthful night, capturing the essence of youthful rebellion and the relentless pursuit of the city’s pulse.

The lyrics reflect an urge to break through barriers, venturing forth into the unknown with a yearning for sound and all it holds. The song poignantly conveys a sense of solitude that silence often brings, prompting the listener to ponder whether the here and now may be the end.

The track is beautifully carried by Per’s vulnerable and relatable voice, skillfully oscillating between euphoria and melancholy. Accompanied by grooving piano notes, driving beats, and a delicately placed saxophone, the melancholic yet melodic songwriting gives rise to poignant emotions without overwhelming the audience. The creation of “Lärm” was a labour of love, developed over months through cycles of trial and error. An early version even unexpectedly gained traction on TikTok, providing the final push that propelled the song forward.

Today, “Lärm” stands as a testament to Haus F’s journey: experimenting, doubting, persevering until everything feels just right. Comprised of four talented young men from Berlin, Haus F is on the brink of emerging from the shadows into the spotlight of the music scene. Their brief clips circulating on TikTok and Instagram have quickly captured attention, revealing a knack for engaging their audience.

The origin of their name lies in their school days, where each building was designated by a letter, and Haus F was the hub for music and art. It was here that they practised, composed, experimented, and faced the creative chaos that comes with forming a serious band. This experience shaped Haus F’s identity, instilling a lifelong passion for music.

Musically, Haus F straddles the genres of indie rock, jazz ballads, and Deutschpop. This rich diversity defines their sound, a blend of indie pop that oscillates between exuberance and nostalgia, youthful exuberance and the looming spectre of maturity, the thrill of nightlife and the subsequent solitude. It is within this vibrant chaos that profound songs and powerful feelings come to life.

As a staunch admirer of Haus F, having discovered them on Instagram, I can confidently say they are the newcomers to watch in 2026. Their passion and authenticity resonate deeply, and I can’t wait to see how their musical journey unfolds. “Lärm” is just the beginning of what promises to be an exciting era for this dynamic band.
