Track Premiere: Kerr – Strangers Again

Kerr’s first single “Strangers Again” has left us in awe. With an electronic production that feels so simple and yet so technical, Kerr’s hauntingly vulnerable and laid-back vocals take you off guard and invite you on a journey that feels both private and personal. The result: a bittersweet dance anthem that will leave you elated and yet nostalgic at the same time.

From Reykjavík, Iceland, and based in Berlin, Kerr has been a staple in the underground scene for years as a producer and DJ under his only slightly longer moniker Kerr Wilson. Now with “Strangers Again,” Kerr takes a bold step forward, bringing his own vocals to the mix on a track that’s both euphoric and melancholic.

“It’s a rather personal song and it channels a conversation never had, questions never asked nor answered, which I guess at the same time make it a tribute to the never-ending conversation that takes place in one’s own head. To me this song is, above all, about loss and love and how blurry the line between the two can be.” says Kerr. And as he sings the line, sounding as if it were extracted from a voice message: “Strangers again, strangest when… you know your best friend like the back of your hand,” we’re not sure whether to break into dance or tears. Maybe it’s best to do both.

“Strangers Again” is an enthralling piece of electronic music and we can’t wait to see what he has in store for us next.
