In the electrifying anthem “Glitterfree,” Belgian duo Lander & Adriaan expertly meld the pulsating energy of ’90s rave culture with a contemporary flair. Their latest track exemplifies a distinctive jazz-infused signature, intertwining heavy basslines and nostalgic samples reminiscent of the golden age of Italian house, all while packed with the frenetic energy of a live performance.
Comprising drummer Lander Gyselinck—known for his work with STUFF., Beraadgeslagen, and LABtrio—and keyboardist Adriaan Van de Velde, who has collaborated with acts like Pomrad and J. Bernardt, Lander & Adriaan found common ground through their mutual appreciation for sleek digital synths and the underground dance music of the ’90s. Born out of spontaneous jams during the initial lockdown in 2020, their collaboration transforms into a riveting rave experience—an exhilarating blend of rawness and polish that invites listeners into a world of unfiltered pleasure and avant-garde excitement.
Their self-titled debut album released in 2022 received accolades from both Belgian and international media, including notable coverage from 3voor12 in the Netherlands. This momentum quickly translated into a flurry of live performances across Europe, gracing stages in France, Germany, Switzerland, and Italy, as well as major festivals like ESNS and Pukkelpop. A signature live session for tastemaker Lefto’s Kiosk Radio left a lasting impression in Brussels and ignited interest on platforms like YouTube.
In an exhilarating turn of events in 2023, Lander & Adriaan took the stage at the Dries Van Noten fashion show for the Men’s Autumn/Winter 2023-24 collection. This noteworthy performance laid the groundwork for an upcoming EP, set to be released in early 2024.
Titled “Millennial Breeze,” their forthcoming EP encapsulates the duo’s dynamic evolution, harnessing the electrifying essence of their live shows while keeping listeners on the edge of their seats. This new collection was premiered live at the iconic Fuse Brussels, signifying a monumental step in their artistic journey.
