Indie trio Valley Onda is set to release their debut album, Middle Way, spotlighting the track ‘Seraph’ on October 31, 2025, via Valley Onda Records. The album features previously released singles ‘Minacious’ and ‘Reebok Fantasy,’ which premiered on CLASH Magazine and EARMILK, respectively, with the latter gaining radio support from NPR Music—hinting at the album’s promise. Since their debut in 2019, the trio has amassed over 350,000 streams, earning acclaim from publications like triple j and touring nationally with acts such as The Money War.
Valley Onda consists of Jordan Wilson (vocals, guitar), Michiya Nagai (keys), and Galen Sultmann (drums). Individually, they bring impressive backgrounds: Wilson, a former Georgia Fair member, has opened for legends like Paul Kelly and John Mayer, while Nagai has performed for massive crowds with Lamalo and at TEDx Melbourne.
Formed in a Sydney restaurant during a post-tour lull, the band’s sound blends alternative textures inspired by Radiohead, Alt-J, Bon Iver, and Gorillaz. Their music spans from Alternative Rock to Indie Electronica, evolving through immersive performances and collaborations.
Middle Way offers a deeply emotive journey, fusing organic and electronic elements. The lead track ‘Seraph’ captivates with its blend of rock riffs and ethereal sounds, embodying the album’s transcendental themes of wonder. Speaking on the project, the band noted: “‘Middle Way’ is the boisterous combination of three unique creative minds. We knew we wanted to harmonise organic instruments with technology and the electric world; a feat as grand as Robert M. Pirsig’s classic novel ‘Zen & The Art Of Motorcycle Maintenance’. Fishin’ screams out like one big om from the universe, whilst tracks like ‘Seraph’ moves with cyclical rhythm and warm synths. There’s certainly an intensity to the album, but one we hope we match with joyous celebration.”
