Video Premiere: HotWax – One More Reason

The hottest indie band from the UK, HotWax, releases its latest single, “One More Reason,” today, January 15, ahead of its debut album, “Hot Shock,” set for release on March 7 via Marathon Artists. This bass-driven anthem is accompanied by a vibrant video directed by longtime collaborator Josh Quinton. The video features an underground punk vibe, outfits styled by Greta, and a cameo from legend Princess Julia.

Singer Tallulah Sim-Savage shares the inspiration behind the track, highlighting a jam session in Joshua Tree that sparked “One More Reason.” The song, capturing the energy of a festival opener, explores addictive love that can feel overwhelmingly intense.

Following two acclaimed EPs, the Hastings trio has played over 150 electrifying shows in just 18 months, catching the eye of producer Catherine Marks during a performance last summer. Her vision? To capture the party-like essence of a HotWax gig on their upcoming album.

For “Hot Shock,” the band assembled an all-female production team, perfectly encapsulating their exhilarating live energy. The album showcases a blend of chaotic touring life and heartfelt vulnerability, with the trio’s lifelong friendship and musical history underpinning their unique sound.

With prior hits like “Treasure” gaining recognition on BBC platforms and support from major artists, HotWax is just getting started. Their tour kicks off with multiple in-stores across the UK leading up to live performances at major festivals, proving they are a force to be reckoned with.
