“Where Does a Body End” explores the tension between desire, exhaustion, and the blurred boundaries of the body. Conceived as a poetic visual narrative, the project transforms fashion imagery into a reflection on intimacy, fragility, and physical collapse in contemporary life.

Across six visual chapters and a series of portraits, the work questions how bodies inhabit clothing, how they connect, and how they break down. The photographs reveal fragile, intertwined figures, machines of effort and intimacy,  suspended between attraction and fatigue. Through the collaboration with Guillermo Justicia, fashion, photography, and art converge to dissolve boundaries between image and emotion, transforming the body itself into a question.

Ivan Alba is based in Barcelona. He works as a Photographer, Art Director, and Visual Artist. His practice moves fluidly across photography, visual arts, and art direction, exploring the spaces where commercial and artistic expression meet. By merging concept, aesthetics, and emotion, he builds a distinctive visual language that connects different creative fields.

Blurring the lines between disciplines, he combines art, fashion, and advertising photography to reflect on identity, culture, and contemporary aesthetics. His work embraces a queer perspective, weaving poetic and sexually charged references that challenge and expand dominant visual narratives.

Through an image-driven and conceptually rooted approach, his practice builds dialogues between visual culture, perception, and storytelling. It unfolds as a fluid space where editorial, commercial, and artistic projects intersect, opening new ways to narrate and experience contemporary imagery.
