Soulful jazz guitarist Thibault Chevaillier created Ed Mount to express his solo sonic ambitions. ‘Space Cries’ is an homage to DIY R’n’B projects such as Homeshake or Toro Y Moi, with the additional French touch. With his new endeavor, Chevaillier presents his interpretation of what Motown on Mars would sound like. Combining funk-inspired guitar work, soulful falsetto vocals, and vintage keyboards, the single is a spaced out jam full of groove and charm with an animated short from Lou Rihn.
